I didn’t know you had worked for him. I still think he and Berkeley Bedell we’re the two best Iowa congressmen during my lifetime!
My great honor to have worked for him. Sad that a Jim Leach could never be elected as a Republican today. Bedell was excellent too. He had good staff, with whom I would work with on legislation, etc.
Iowa had some good ones - Neal Smith also comes to mind.
